With Valentine's Day coming up I got inspired to do a fun eyeshadow look. It is not something I would wear out, but it's cute and amusing for the day. I know I am not a professional makeup artist, but I think as an enthusiast it's fun to share what I create. I hope it can inspire others to do the same.
For this look I used Bad Habit's Aphrodite Palette, Smolder Cosmetic's Loose Glam Dust and Colourpop's Glitterally Obsessed. I started off like I normally do with applying a primer to my lids and then setting it with a neutral color. I used the color Coy from the Aphrodite Palette.
I forgot to take a pic of just where I applied Flirt so I quickly took one after I had finished and started washing my makeup off, so that's why there is glitter all over in the last picture.
From the same palette I used a Real Techniques 305 brush and applied the color Flirt to my upper lid, in the crease but leaving most of my lower lid bare. After using flirt I cut creased my eyes using Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer with a small flat BH cosmetics shadow brush. I'm still teaching myself how to cut crease, so I apologize for how it looks.
Once the concealer it on my lids, I use my finger and pat it out a little to remove any excess. Then still with my finger I took Smolder Cosmetics Loose Glam Dust in the color Wild Orchid and covered where I placed the concealer.
You cannot really tell from the pics but Wild Orchid is a really pretty iridescent pinky white. Just because I wanted to have some fun and I've been dying to use this glitter, I went along the top of the cut crease with the Colourpop Glitterally Obsessed in the color Avenue of the Stars. I bought this like a month ago because it looked so awesome, but haven't been able to use it because it's not like a glitter I can wear everyday. Thankfully though it is great for a quirky Valentine's Day look! Once all that was applied I just finished up the look with the Jonteblu black glitter eye pencil, Essence Cosmetics Lashes of the Day Mascara, Urban Decay's 24/7 Gel Liner in the color Mainline on my lower lash line and the color Flirt I used before under my lashes. That's it! It's not a perfect look, but I had a lot of fun creating it! I hope you enjoy it!
