Just a Little Sparkle

Updated: Mar 21, 2019

Sorry for the inconsistent posts lately.  I've had a hard time getting back into the swing of things this past month.  I don't know why, just haven't been getting it together lately.  However, rather than dwelling on it I'm moving into February with a brighter more focused outlook.  So without further ado, here is a quick tutorial.

This look was inspired by a look Stephanie Lange had done a while back, it's not exact but hers definitely influenced this eyeshadow look.  Stephanie's is of course way better, but she is just awesome so that's not a surprise!  Digressing for a second, if you want to watch great tutorials on Youtube look her up (I linked her channel above with her name).

Okay so to start off my eyes I primed them with Ulta's Matte Primer and set it with a

Sorry I have a few little breakouts this week.

neutral shadow. Since I am going to be using a black shadow, and I always find I get a lot of fallout with black shadows, I placed surgical tape by eyes to help keep the fallout from going all over. I do that a lot actually, I find it works for me. Honestly I just think I'm sloppy haha.

To create this look I actually used Lorac's Pirates of the Caribbean Palette but you can easily use whatever similar colors you have.  This is a fun palette I keep forgetting I have for some reason.  I actually bought it at T.J. Maxx.  You can find some great cosmetics at places like T.J. Maxx and Marshalls if you have the patience to look, which I don't always have.

Now getting back to the eyeshadow application, after setting my primer I went in with the color

Cursed using my Sigma E25.  I applied eyeshadow in like a dome shape around my lid.  Going above my crease and on the sides but leaving the middle open.  I then blended it out with my Wet -n- Wild blending brush.  Next I used my pointer finger and applied the color Shiver Me to

the middle of my lid, then blended out the edges very slightly so the two colors looked smooth.  To lighten up my brow area, I used my Morphe M431 brush to apply the color Ghosty right below my eyebrows.  Lastly, for some sparkle I used Stila's Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in the color Diamond Dust  and applied it over Shiver Me.  I finished the eye look off with some eyeliner and mascara and that's it! Hope you liked it!
