Hello all! I hope you are having a fantastic Spring so far! For today's post I decided to do a quick tutorial on my very purple eyeshadow look inspired by Spring and Easter using BH Cosmetics Opalescent Palette. Once again BH is killing it! This palette is so pretty with soft pastel colors that are actually pigmented and go on smoothly, it's once again a purchase from BH I do not regret!
To get started I did my usual priming of my eyes using Ulta's Matte Primer and then setting it with a neutral color I used Flutter from the BH palette. Using my Moprhe M514 brush I went in with the color Grace, applying it all over and a little above my crease. It's a nice matte beige color that I felt worked well as my base shadow. For a big pop of color I applied the color Wish with my Real
Techniques 305 brush blending it with Grace but also bringing it closer to edges of my eye. Since I cannot get enough shimmer in my life I had to add some to this look. Before applying the colors Twilight and Magic, I used a BH Cosmetics flat shadow brush and added Tarte's Shape Tape Concealer all over my lid and over my crease (I'm still trying to learn how to cut crease). Since I have very hooded eyes I'm hoping that mastering the cut crease will aid in making my lid appear bigger. The problem is actually becoming good at a cut crease and I have a way to go.
Once the concealer was on, I used my finger and applied the color Twilight on my inner lid and then Magic since it is slightly darker on the outer side of my lid. The colors are similar to blending them in the middle was easy. I then went back in with the color Wish using my Sigma E30 brush. Really going in and defining the darker color around the shimmers. I then used a blending brush and softened the edges a bit, but not too much I wanted to leave the defined line around my crease.
To finish the look off I applied the color Star to my brow line and the inner corners of my eyes, the color Wish to my lower lash line, Urban Decay's 24/7 Gel Liner in the color Mainline to my waterline, Tarte's Maneater Liner and Avon's Love at First Lash Mascara to my lashes. Well I hope you enjoyed this look. I know I'm not a pro or anything, but I really enjoy sharing my love of makeup and maybe me not being a "beauty guru" will inspired others who love makeup to keep sharing their creations too! Remember we are all imperfect perfections, so always be happy and forever be yourself!
